Galvanised iron pegs for ground that bends aluminium ones. At 25 cm they drive deep into hard-packed or stony soil, and the plastic head gives you something to hook a puller onto instead of digging around the shaft. Choose the luminous version and you can see where your guy lines are pegged after dark.
Best for
Hard, stony or compacted ground where lighter pegs bend, and car camping where the extra weight does not matter.
Not ideal for
Backpacking. Iron pegs are considerably heavier than the aluminium ones supplied with our ultralight tents, so save these for trips where the tent travels in a vehicle.
