Good price for fairly light weight. Nice pegs. Mine came with footprint. I am very tall so quite tight with my wife regrading moving 180° but good once settled. Setup is cuick. One nice option would be colour ooding on poles and eyelets when setting up so I don't have to think as much. Other than that great product.

I have used my Star River 2 tent for bike packing in the Netherlands and recently for bike packing in the UK during which I spent a week camped in the Cotswolds where it rained every day. In all this time no water came into the tent. Everything stayed dry.

Used this tent on a 5 day mid May Drakensberg Northern Traverse adventure. Held up strong throughout. Condensation flaps really useful in colder conditions. At 2.3kg, really is lightweight especially is tent and poles/pegs are split.
Really easy to set up, just space enough for 2 people and 2 packs- bit of a squeeze but it worked. Great value and great quality.

This tent was thoroughly tested on the Tankwa Camino 2026 which took 10 days. It endured heavy rain and strong winds on some days, as well as sandy and rocky conditions. The inside was always dry, even though the flysheet was soppy wet every morning from dew or rain. It had enough room for my backpack and loose items like shoes, but for the type of hike, a 3P tent would have been better, but that was due to a wrong choice, not a downside of the tent. Excellent product!

So I reviewed this pot in 2023, after doing the Fish River Canyon. I have since used it on all my subsequent hikes, generally in the berg - Rhino peak, Tugela Falls, Mkhomazi river Valley etc.
Now my team always asks if I’m bringing along my pot.
You can’t go wrong with this pot, literally will cook for 10 to 12 in it.

Great Poles, Light and steady. These carried me for 6 days at Amathole hike. 106kms of rough terrain and this set of hiking poles was as good as new in the end.

The tent being shared for carrying is a big bonus as well as the two doors. We set up camp on the 2nd night in pouring rain on Sentinel Peak in the Drakensberg - it went up quickly and efficiently and shielded us from the storm. Love it!

I needed water shoes to scout a kloof for a hiking trip in Grootbosch near Magoebaskloof. The shoes were perfect as I mostly used the river as a path down the kloof. I could keep my hiking boots dry for the rest of the hike
I used the pack for the first time on a multi-day hike in Magoebaskloof. It mainly performed as expected. I would have preferred for the padding on the hip belt to be about 5cm longer as the pack did slip down with the result that the weight landed on the shoulders. But, overall, a good product. I am happy with the purchase.
The 70 + 5L Naturehike Backpack proved to be the perfect choice for hiking the Fish River Canyon. Our group was among those evacuated by helicopter during the June 2026 Fish River Canyon floods, and throughout the experience, this backpack performed beyond expectations. It was comfortable, durable, and reliable under extremely challenging conditions, making it an outstanding choice for demanding multi-day hikes.
I’ve used this pad for quite a few nights out in the mountains in cool (not icy) conditions, with very positive results. I found it far more comfortable than I had hoped - but then I weigh just short of 70 kg. It may not be so comfortable for someone significantly beefier than me. But lighter hikers are sure to enjoy its firm, stable support. It’s also really quiet compared to most inflatable pads (big deal this), and it’s a joy to inflate: just let it stand a few minutes and then give it a couple of puffs and you’re done. But be sure to let it stand open for a day or so before using it for the first time, and store it unrolled.
The pad also feels much warmer than its stated 2.1 R-Value rating, largely because, unlike most inflatable pads, it doesn’t let the cold filter up through the pad when you move on it. It’s not an ultra-light pad, but it’s competitively light, and it’s relatively large packed size is a small price to pay for the overall quality and value you are getting. I doubt if you will get a better value pad.
PS: I always use a closed cell foam mat under my tent floor and/or sleeping pad, as this adds protection to both and boosts the R-Value of the pad.

I bought the Spider 1P ultralight tent a few days ago and used it on a simple Drakensburg hike. Within a few hours of using the tent the flysheet front zip broke and got stuck in the middle with the top and bottom open. After a few hours in moderate rain the flysheet leaked . I have sent two emails applying for a refund and have not had a response.

My husband and I bought this tent to backpack through South America for 5 months. It’s really lightweight and wouldn’t take us more than 2 minutes to assemble and dissemble.
It withstood rain and wind (that being said, we didn’t ever camp in torrential downpour) - but it kept us bone dry in heavy, day-long rain. It also withstood Patagonian windstorms with the help of some rocks placed on the pegs.
The fly sheet does not touch the inner tent which makes all the difference in managing condensation and moisture.
The two vestibules were great for storing our 60l backpacks when the ground was dry outside. When it was wet - we popped them at the bottom of the tent and still slept comfortably (I’m 175cm and my husband 184cm)
I genuinely can’t hype this tent enough. Just buy it. Thanks Naturehike!

Wild camped in the Cederberg for 5 days with my girlfriend with this tent. Great mix between light weight and strenth. Material and structure is 4 season for sure. Pitching and ease of use is perfect. Two access points makes actual use easy as we could each use our own side without having to climbing over each other to get in and out. Pitches tight, no wind noise. Great value and a solid piece of kit if you want to move lite and fast but still need proper weather protection.

At first, I thought it was really fragile and would break pretty easily. To my surprise, after getting onto it for the first time, I realised it is very tough and strong. can easily hold 2 people. really enjoy using it. It is comfortable.

Wonderful first hiking pack! Super secure main compartment, not a single rock got snuck into the pack😂 All the pockets one would need, I just kept discovering new ones as I went. And gorgeous colorways.
Such an easy to “pitch” tent. Light weight and small enough for my hiking bag, but this still needs to be tested!
Sleeping was comfortable but will be a challenge for two people. It was great for me and my bag.
