22L Silicone Foldable Backpack

Twenty-two litres at 200 g, in silicone-coated 30D nylon that sheds water rather than soaking it up. It stuffs into its own integrated sack, so it packs away to nothing and comes out when you need a second bag. Four litres more than the 18L version, which is the difference between a spare bag and one you would use as a daypack.

Best for
Day hikes and travel where you want a genuine daypack that still packs down to almost nothing.

Not ideal for
Heavy loads. There is no frame and the fabric is 30D, so this carries light. Sustained rain also gets through the seams and zips, even though the fabric itself sheds water.

Getting the fit right

Torso length is not the same as your height, and it matters more than anything else for how a pack carries. Feel for the bony bump at the base of your neck where it meets your shoulders, then place your hands on your hips with thumbs pointing back until they meet at the top of your hip bones. Measure along your spine between those two points.
