The CW700 is the warmest down bag in the range, with 700 g of 750 fill power goose down and a comfort rating of −2 °C. The down sits in separate baffles rather than a single chamber, so it cannot migrate to one side and leave a cold spot. A mesh storage sack ships alongside the compression sack, because down kept compressed loses loft permanently.
Best for
Winter and high-altitude camping, and Berg nights where ground and air temperature both drop below freezing.
Not ideal for
Warm-weather trips, where you would be carrying insulation you cannot use, and sustained wet conditions where a synthetic bag keeps working once damp.
