Sixty-five litres at 1,160 g, which is around 700 g lighter than a conventional pack of the same capacity. The frame is fixed rather than adjustable, and that is part of how the weight comes down. A Dyneema-reinforced fabric option is available for rougher ground.

Best for
Three to five night hikes for anyone carrying under 15 kg and hikers who count grams on the pack itself as well as its contents.

Not ideal for
Loads over 15 kg, where the 55 + 5L or 70 + 5L carry heavier kit better. Also not the choice if you fall outside a regular back length, since this frame is fixed and comes in one size only.

Getting the fit right

Torso length is not the same as your height, and it matters more than anything else for how a pack carries. Feel for the bony bump at the base of your neck where it meets your shoulders, then place your hands on your hips with thumbs pointing back until they meet at the top of your hip bones. Measure along your spine between those two points.
