First things first—these are the lightest trekking poles I’ve ever used. If shaving off every possible gram is your mission, look no further. Pros: weight (obviously), reliability, and surprisingly sturdy for something this light. Cons: and this isn’t really a complaint, just the reality of going ultralight—some compromises are inevitable. The wrist straps (that’s the proper name) are incredibly minimal, just a single strip of nylon. They do the job, but there’s zero padding or comfort. A friend of mine was using a cheaper pair with cork handles, and I’ll admit I had some serious trekking pole envy. They just felt better in the hand over long distances. Bottom line: if every gram matters to you, these poles are unbeatable. But if you don’t mind carrying a few extra grams for the sake of comfort, I’d personally lean toward the cork handle version.
