A liner does two jobs. It takes the sweat and dirt that would otherwise go into your sleeping bag, and it adds a few degrees of warmth. This one is 20% elastane, so it stretches with you rather than binding around the legs the way a fixed-width liner does. At 350 g it is worth carrying for the cleaning alone.
Best for
Protecting a down or synthetic sleeping bag from body oils and dirt, and adding warmth to a bag that is marginal for the conditions.
Not ideal for
Use as a sleeping bag on its own in cold conditions. On warm nights it works alone, but it is a liner rather than insulation.
