Multifunction Waterproof Bag

Rated IPX8 to a depth of 20 m, so this is properly waterproof rather than water resistant. A clear window lets you use your phone screen without taking it out, and a multi-layer sleeve holds the phone away from the sides. Comes with a lanyard.

Best for
Kayaking, snorkelling, boats, beach days and heavy rain, where a phone or documents need to stay dry even if they go under.

Not ideal for
Using your phone underwater. Touchscreens do not respond when submerged, and face or fingerprint recognition often will not read through the window.

Looking after the seal

The depth rating depends on a clean seal. A single grain of sand or a hair across the sealing surface is enough to let water in, so wipe the seal before you close it and rinse the bag in fresh water after use in the sea. If you are unsure it is sealed, close it empty and hold it under water for a minute before trusting it with your phone.
