Stainless steel pegs for ground that bends lighter ones. The tapered tip drives into hard-packed and stony soil, and at 30 cm the longer version reaches past the loose surface layer that gives way in wind. Matte black so they do not glint in the sun.
Best for
Hard, stony or compacted ground, and anchoring tarps and canopies that take wind load.
Not ideal for
Backpacking, where the aluminium pegs supplied with our ultralight tents are a fraction of the weight. Long-term use in salt air will also mark 201 stainless over time.
