Gaiters that seal the gap between boot and trouser, where grass seeds, thorns and mud get in. The three-layer laminate is rated to 10,000 mm hydrostatic head while still passing 5,000 g of moisture vapour per square metre a day, so wet grass stays out without your legs cooking.
Best for
Trails through overgrown grass, thornveld and wet undergrowth, and stream crossings where water runs down into the boot.
Not ideal for
Hot, dry and open trails. Any gaiter adds warmth around the lower leg, so on an exposed summer walk you may prefer to go without.
