A 45 litre pack sized for one to three nights out. Two things decide whether a load carries well: a back panel you can set to your own torso length, and a hip belt that pivots independently as you walk rather than fighting your stride on uneven ground. This pack has both.
Best for
Overnight and weekend hikes carrying a tent, sleeping system and food. In winter, when kit is bulkier, expect a single night from the same volume.
Not ideal for
Trips beyond three nights, where the 55 + 5L carries the extra food, and day walks where 45 litres is more pack than you need.

Getting the fit right
Torso length is not the same as your height, and it matters more than anything else for how a pack carries. Feel for the bony bump at the base of your neck where it meets your shoulders, then place your hands on your hips with thumbs pointing back until they meet at the top of your hip bones. Measure along your spine between those two points.

Review Brilliant Product, Ideal and Comfortable
Review This is an awesome and extremely comfortable pack! I purchased it about 6-months ago and I use it as a day pack as well as for multi-day hiking. I have put it through tough conditions - serious bundu-bashing, hectic rain storms, loaded it for both a 5-day as well as a 6-day hike and it has handled all of this with no hassles! I am super impressed. Furthermore, I find the waist belt’s side pockets a good size to store loads of snacks and other quick access goodies, and the water bladder size is also very roomy, even when I fill the bladder to the brim (I have a 3-litre bladder). I have washed the bag once and it looks as good as new.
