Good price for fairly light weight. Nice pegs. Mine came with footprint. I am very tall so quite tight with my wife regrading moving 180° but good once settled. Setup is cuick. One nice option would be colour ooding on poles and eyelets when setting up so I don't have to think as much. Other than that great product.

This is my first lightweight tent I’ve purchased and I’m extremely happy with it.
Materials are all very good quality.
Set up is quick and easy.
I’m 6’6 so I was worried about fitting in the tent but I can lay straight out and just fit.
Pack size is almost as small as my sleeping bag and it’s really light.
Overall a great tent and I’m keen for more adventures in it.

We love to read this type of feedback, We hope you have many happy adventures in your tent!
Light and decently waterproof. By far the best hiking tent at this price point. Although the rain fly is perfectly waterproof (kept me dry for 10 days in the rainforest) it’s a pity that it’s so short on the sides. During downpours lot’s of backsplash get’s onto the tent inner which is not waterproof. Would love to see this updated in the next upgraded version.

Wow, what an amazing adventure you have been on. Thanks for the great review! we will definitely keep this in mind.
I have been using the first cloud up for many years and it was time for an upgrade.
Pitching this tent is much faster than my previous tent. I will be using it for the first time in the Drakensberg the end of the April.
The tent was very sturdy even when met with the most harshest of winds and was waterproof for the days I set up my raincover.
My son used this tent for 23 day Hike. The tent was light weight and easy to put up . It weathered tough conditions and stayed dry inside
Store owner replied:
Thank you, Andrea! So glad the Cloud Up 2 kept your son dry, safe, and comfortable on his 23-day hike. We love hearing it handled the tough weather like a champ!
Store owner replied:
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled the tent kept you safe and comfortable on Mafadi. Here’s to many more successful adventures!
I used the tent this weekend. Firstly, the tent was incredibly easy to set up and secondly it handled the tremendous wind at Cape Point this weekend without any issues. Exactly what I needed and I'm so happy with this purchase.

Impressed
Pros
1-The order was delivered 3 days earlier than stated ,very nice
2-The tent is light
3-packing away very small
4-Simple to pop up
5-The rain sheet ,ground sheet and tent all work separately and/or together so you can choose how much "tent" you want to take depending on weather and terrain
6-I'm a very minimalistic person and this fits my needs perfectly
7-compared to the other SA brands this is a win in price and weight
Cons
5-For a 2 person tent its quite a squeeze
6-The material is quite thin BUT what do you expect for that weight

Overall I am happy with this purchase! Here are a couple of things that I learnt about the tent while hiking in cooler temperatures with rain and wind.
Pros - easy to put up and take down, lightweight, quick drying, non-bendable pegs, cozy, sturdy in rain and wind, comes with extra ropes, comes with useful groundsheet and compression strap to hold everything together.
Cons - big enough for 2 people but not quite big enough for 2 people and all their things (large hiking backpacks + other hiking items - especially if it's raining outside and everything needs to be in the tent), vestibule (protected space just outside tent) is a bit small, again only an issue if outside weather isn't ideal.
I recommend this tent, and I will not replace it because it suits my needs and the weather that I hike in. To improve the experience in general, I'll get a lightweight groundsheet or rain-cover for empty backpacks that I want to keep outside.
Hope this helps!

5 Stars for my overall experience so far based on value for money. I've used this tent from campsite to mountain, and in varying temperatures & weather patterns.
One needs to be aware of cold ground causing moisture against a warm mattress, but this happens with most tents in this range. Likewise with water condensing through from fly to inner if touched...not an issue if the flysheet is pitched correctly (tighten guy-lines before bed).
This is one of the few tents that allows one to pitch fly-first in poor weather, which is a huge plus. That said, if you're planning on using the fly only, I would suggest getting the version with snow valances/flaps/skirt, as this will prevent rain or mud from splashing up under the flysheet.
One person with gear. Two without gear in good weather.

BEST TENT EVER!! I attempted the highest peak in SA in March, a 4 day climb up the Drakensberg WITH TENTS! The CLOUD UP 2 ULTRALIGHT proved to be both the smartest as well as easiest choice. Being super-light accommodated my shoulder and knee which were rehabilitating after a motor cycle accident...and some corrective surgery. I hardly felt the weight and the packed-up/folded-up size is so convenient - it just slips into your bag. The best part of this tent is that it goes up in a flash with all interlocking and connected support poles so even though it rained from Day 2 to Day 4 assembling and taking down was under 10 minutes. It stormed. The wind blew but I remained DRY and warm.....
***** 5-star rating for sure!!!

I have tested this tent in pumping wind and it passed the test with flying colours. Easy to pitch (it was already dark when I had to figure out how to do it) and very lightweight too!

I have yet to take my tent out on a hiking trip and test it out but the quality looks awesome and the service from naturehike is always amazing. I had the one man cycling tent and that stood up to lots of rain and I was the only one in my group who was dry! It looks to me that this tent is just a slightly bigger version of my previous one so I'm very confident in its ability to stand up to bad weather and keep me safe.

Easy to put up, very light and compact. I, as a female could easily put it up on my own in about 10 mins, will be faster now I know how!
The service from Naturehike is amazing. I ordered at 9.45am, received same day before 3pm. I will definitely be back for more !! Thank you soo much.

Lightweight and robust. A perfect backpacking tent. Generous netting to keep the weight down, bugs out and great ventilation. The included ground sheet is a nice touch to protect the 20D nylon from abrasion on the ground. One can even pitch the rain fly first to shelter from the rain while pitching the inner. The tent poles are all kept together in one piece by elastic cord. The forked design ensures great stability in high winds. The high hoop allows for good headroom. The 20D nylon on the bottom half of the inner allows for privacy and protection from wind under the rain fly while sleeping

This tent is amazing - the size for my husband and I is perfect, and with a Jimny it is perfectly sized to squeeze in amongst all our other camping baggage. Super easy to put up and take down, quality feels brilliant. Looking forward to testing it in the heat in Pafuri next week. Handled strong wind perfectly.
I note 4 stars purely because the waterproofing is a concern, and I cannot give 4.5 stars - I camped for a night in heavy rain and strong wind, and while the roof stayed dry and I remained dry, when I was packing up camp the underneath of my camping mat was soaked (luckily waterproof), and water had seeped through the included ground sheet and up through the base of the tent... Otherwise, well worth the investment, and I look forward to using this on trail as the weight is absolutely minimal.

Can't beat the value for money. I use it for moto camping, it packs up small enough and is as light as can be for the price. Enough space for my bedding and my moto gear inside, and my stinky boots in the vestibule. This the second one I am buying (for a friend) as mine has served me so well. Shipping was fast - had it in 2 days.
I had one issue with my tent - a pole split soon after I got it, but the team at Nature Hike Africa were amazing to deal with and sent me a replacement set ASAP.

We love this tent! Used it on a 6-day slack packing hike, a 4-night river rafting trip as well as a 2 night base camp hike. It is super easy to put up, love the fact that in good weather you can leave the fly sheet off and see the stars. It arrived at our home less than 48 hours after we ordered it - excellent service from Naturehike. Will definitely recommend!

The upgrades from the previous model are genius, love the rear vent as with my VK1 those vent supports are great. Also the “clips” on the sides make for a rattle free evening.

Lovely camping equipment. The light weight tent makes for an enjoyable hiking experience. The aerodynamic designs ensure good stability during heavy wind exposure.

Hi, used the tent for the first time in Drakenberg and water was passing through when ever the wind was blowing. I have send an email with pictures to Marcel. I want to bring it back and take a better tent.

I love this tent. It served me so well recently on T7 for Rim of Africa. Light and easy to set up/take down (once I figured out the guy ropes). The only reason I have not given it a full 5 stars is that I would have appreciated a little more guidance on attaching the guy ropes in the correct places and using the cleats properly ;) One extra storage pocket would have been a bonus, but it is not critical.

My hiking buddy used the tent during last month amphitheater overnight and i was impressed with how the tent handled strong winds and easy to pitch and pack, i can't wait to use it during mnweni circuit hike end of this month.

I just returned from 12 days on the Rim of Africa where we had extremely wet and windy conditions. My CU2 stood strong and I remained dry. It's light enough for me to carry on multi day hikes. It has a handy hook from which to hang a light or headlamp as well as a small pocket above the door to stash small items you want easy access to. This pocket is also accessible when outside the tent. Another plus is that in warmer months you can leave the tent at home and set up using the flysheet and footprint (which comes standard with the tent). In rainy weather you can keep the main tent dry by setting up the flysheet first and also take down the tent by folding the main tent first underneath the flysheet. I have all my bases covered. Super product.
